Guy Aston - Business Development Consultant
As a Business Development Consultant at Huthwaite International, Guy has worked with a huge variety of clients from local government through to blue chip corporations, global manufacturers and debt collection agencies to name but a few. Recent projects have included the implementation of Negotiation Skills training to Local Authorities and other areas of the Public Sector.
Guy consults on and delivers the whole range of Huthwaite's core products, mainly working at board level within the client organisation. The solutions he offers range from simple generic models to highly customised and measured behaviour change projects.
Guy has held a number of roles at Huthwaite over the years working with corporate clients, SMEs and open clients alike. With an in-depth understanding of the Mid-Corporate marketplace, he has assisted smaller organisations to drive their companies forward and put their sales teams to best use. He understands the challenges of selling corporate value for SMEs and has witnessed a host of market changes affecting them - some which are unique to this market area. He has helped SMEs to understand their core strengths in order to be competitive.
Guy has a vast amount of speaker experience from working with local Chambers of Commerce, clients and professional associations, and has covered a range of topics across sales and negotiation. He brings great enthusiasm and energy to all his interactions and is dedicated to providing the same high standard of training to SMEs as he does to multinationals.
Previous to joining Huthwaite in 1989, Guy started his career with a brief spell in the Royal Navy. This was followed by various roles in Sales and Sales Management within the Manufacturing and IT industries, including responsibility for a sizable sales force selling high value capital goods. It was while working in a large UK manufacturer that he first met Huthwaite and became a SPIN® coach. Two years later he was part of the Huthwaite team.
