Management Consultancies Association

mca.jpgHuthwaite is proud to be member of the Management Consultancies Association (MCA), the representative body for management consultancy firms in the UK. The MCA’s 46 member firms comprise 60% of the UK consulting industry, employ more than 30,000 consultants and work with over 90 of the FTSE 100 companies and almost all parts of the public sector. The MCA’s tough entry criteria and rigorous Code of Practice mean that MCA member companies are widely acknowledged to provide high-quality services to their clients. Huthwaite are the only consultancy in our field to have been accepted as a member of the MCA.

Huthwaite has been very involved in the launch of the MCA’s Consultancy Buyers Forum, which engages directly the MCA with buyers of consulting services. Consultancy is a very different type of purchase to most other spend areas and the buying process can often become complex and contentious. The forum creates an environment where consulting firms, clients and procurement professionals can openly discuss these issues and develop and promote best practice.
