Guy Aston - Business Director for Mid-Corporate Solutions
After a brief spell in the Royal Navy, then following a career in Sales and Sales Management roles within the Manufacturing and IT industries where he had responsibility for a sizable salesforce selling high value capital goods, Guy joined Huthwaite International. His typical client base included major manufacturers, and several major city banks.
Through his role at Huthwaite International as Business Director for Mid-Corporate Solutions, Guy specialises in helping the mid-corporate marketplace, assisting organisations drive their companies forward and put their sales team to best use. He understands the challenges of selling corporate value for SMEs and has witnessed a host of market changes affecting them - some which are unique to this market area - and helps them to understand their core strengths in order to be competitive. In addition to working in this market place for over fifteen years, Guy has worked with a huge variety of clients from local government through to city institutions, global manufacturing and debt collection to name but a few.
Guy consults on and delivers the whole range of Huthwaite's core products, mainly working at board level within the client organisation. The solutions he offers range from simple generic models to highly customised and measured behaviour change products. Some of the internal Huthwaite projects he has been involved in include the development of the Salesforce Management Programme concept, Persuasive Case Analysis and the Essentials of Selling.
Guy has a vast amount of speaker experience from working with local Chambers of Commerce, clients and associations, and covers a range of topics across sales and negotiation. He brings enthusiasm and energy to all his interactions and is dedicated to providing the same high standard of training to SMEs as Huthwaite delivers to multinationals. He is Huthwaite's Virtual Sales Director for Fresh Business Thinking and also contributed to the government guidance note for small SMEs, relating to sales elements.
